Scope: network-wide counters from Taostats (chain values as indexed by the tracker), Opentensor and subnet-team GitHub footprint, Hugging Face footprint, arXiv output, X follower deltas, third-party revenue estimates. Per-subnet product counters are in the other layers.

Strongest honest risers: TAO in subnet pools (27x since dTAO, 4% under its Aug high), balance holders (14K to 386K, still rising monthly), Gradients tournament models on Hugging Face (4 to 712 repos a month), subtensor releases and commits, arXiv papers per year (1 to 8), opentensor/bittensor stars (42 to 1,469, verified from Wayback).

- Taostats usage series (site visitors, API calls, registered accounts, staking-app users): nothing published on taostats.io, its X account (10 posts searched) or tao.media; analytics.taostats.io is private.
- tao.app (TAO App) users/stakers/TVL series: the site is behind a Cloudflare challenge (HTTP 403) and the team X account posts feature launches, not user counts; only the Savant messages chart (Dec 2025) and the Taostats fee read (Sep 2026) were found.

## Method notes

- Taostats: the Next.js pages embed react-query payloads server-side; `statsHistory` (daily since 20 Mar 2023) was read from `taostats.io/accounts`, `subnetRegistrationCostHistory` and `subnetTotalPrice` from `taostats.io/subnets`. No API key used. Month-end rows used for stocks; month-over-month differences for rates; Sep 2026 is partial (to 24 Sep) and is excluded from rate series.
- GitHub: `stargazers` is auth-only now (HTTP 401), so star history came from Wayback Machine snapshots of the repo pages (exact counts, ~monthly) for the two Opentensor repos and from decoding star-history.com SVG charts (bezier endpoints mapped to axes; +/- a month, +/- a few stars) for team repos. Commits: `stats/commit_activity` (default branch, 52 weeks). Releases: `/releases`. Org repo counts: search API.
- Hugging Face: `/api/models?author=` and `/api/datasets?author=` with `expand[]=downloadsAllTime`, paginated by Link header; `downloads` is the 30-day count.
